Dion Carr was the Hornet player that attended our Varsity All-Star
game this season. At a point in the game, a player on the ice broke
his stick. Dion approached me when this happened and told me that
the Hornets players make their sticks out of broken sticks.
If you would check with your players and gather any broken sticks
they may have (shafts only, no blades) and bring them to the next
ISHL meeting, we will gladly see that they get to the Hornets.
It’s a great way to help support some great kids and a great program.

Our condolences and heartfelt sympathy go out to the family, teammates,
and friends of Burlington Central Hockey player Jerry Martinez tragically
killed by an auto accident September 25th. A scholarship fund has been
created in Jerry’s memory.

Derek Zike was seriously injured while playing in a tournament on
January 16, 2009, for the Chicago Fury. For an update on Derek
